We are looking for a Data Integration & Quality Engineer to ensure reliable, high-quality data flows from various building systems - including sensors, meters, APIs and BMS - into our platform. We are one of Latvia’s leading providers of digital building solutions, working with large and complex datasets every day.
Required skills: • Ability to analyze different systems, understand how they work, accurately identify the root cause of issues, and communicate findings clearly to relevant stakeholders. • Good knowledge of managing Linux systems via the command line. • Understanding of how microcontrollers and PLCs work. • Understanding of networks and communication protocols, including Ethernet, Wi-Fi, LoRa and industrial protocols such as Modbus, M-Bus, wM-Bus, etc. • Experience working with MQTT and RabbitMQ. • Strong understanding of computer networks, including routing, IP networking and the roles of different network devices. • Proficiency with GitHub.
Skills we value: • Knowledge of Python and CODESYS, including the ability to create and troubleshoot Linux scripts. • Knowledge of database management and the ability to understand database structures. • Knowledge of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and digital certificates.
Key responsibilities • Integrate data from various building data sources - sensors, meters, BMS and APIs - into our platform. • Ensure stable and reliable data flow from the source all the way to the platform. • Troubleshoot data issues at customer sites by identifying and resolving the root cause, rather than simply addressing the symptoms. • Monitor and validate incoming data, identifying errors, anomalies and missing data. • Work closely with project managers, system integrators and suppliers to resolve systemic data issues.
Additional responsibilities: • Keep up with market developments and evaluate and test new devices and data acquisition technologies that could improve our existing solutions. • Define and implement company-wide data quality standards and processes. • Develop and maintain data processing, validation and cleansing solutions.
What we offer: • The opportunity to join a team building efficient and reliable data systems. • A real opportunity to influence products that help automate and improve building management. • The opportunity to grow alongside a fast-growing startup. • Personal development opportunities, including company-funded courses and training. • Health insurance after the probation period. • A meal benefits card after the probation period. • A paid day off on your birthday.
